Chapter Eleven

Every time Tessa moaned or writhed under his touch, Kai’s dragon roared.

Yes. Please her. Please our mate.

Kai nearly snorted. As if he needed any encouragement.

There, his dragon murmured as her breast swelled under his touch. She likes that.

He grumbled, because it wasn’t as if he needed instructions, either. He wasn’t a kid anymore.

Feels like it’s our first time, his dragon cooed. With Tessa, everything is different. New.

That, he had to agree with. If whatever he’d done in the past was called sex, this had to have a different name. A long, lyrical Hawaiian name full of joyous vowels that rolled off his tongue.

Roll. Tongue. Good idea, his dragon murmured as Tessa moaned. She was arched so far back, he could easily slide his hands over her back and scoop her closer, accentuating her amazing curves. He turned his head sideways, sucking from below while pushing upward, feeling the full weight of her breasts.

Heaven, his dragon purred. Heaven.

His soreness had vanished along with the last of his fears when she’d whispered for more. Deep down, he sensed both would come back with a vengeance later. But right now, his mate needed him. She was begging for him.

He nipped her breast, then soothed it with his tongue, finding it smooth but for the tiny bumps surrounding her nipple. His eyes just about rolled back in his head as he memorized each and every one.

Mate wants me. Mate isn’t afraid, his dragon cooed. Our mate is strong.

She was strong. Strong and determined. Who’d ever manhandled him against a wall like that? And hell — she had anger down, for sure. A pure, blazing anger that could burn down a barn if she had the power to open her jaws and spit fire.

But her anger had ebbed as quickly as it came, revealing the passionate soul beneath. A soul desperate for love and acceptance, if only on her own terms.

Well, he could do her terms, especially if the reward was this.

So good, his dragon moaned, tasting her again and again.

It had been hell holding his dragon back at first, but the beast had quickly settled down and enjoyed the ride, letting his human side maintain control.

Speaking of enjoying the ride… his dragon murmured, hinting at the bed.

Soon, Kai told it. Soon. She calls the shots.

Tessa’s right shoulder dipped, and he responded by switching over to her right breast. He kneaded the left at the same time — kneading and rolling the nipple between his fingers, pinching just hard enough to make her gasp then sigh.

“Yes,” she moaned, pushing against him. “Yes…”

That word, he wanted to hear a thousand times in the next hour.

Hours. Days. Weeks, his dragon agreed.
